What a day it has been! =) THE concert, with about 300 (i think) teenagers (which occupies more than 2 big 'chair-sections' of sanctuary) singing praises to God n having a great time in His presence. There were not many ppl at 3pm but they kept streaming in after that. Aaron start off with "Open Up the Gates" (planet shakers), music blasting off with drums, bass, keyboard, percussion and 3 guitarists playing in unison, and the psalmist goes "boink-boink" while singing the chorus. hahah! :D Folollowed by many hot songs that declare God's greatness, like "God Is Great", "Salvation Is Here". Buddies are heated up to sing and dance before the King. Then worship time, sing slow worshipful songs, give our whole attention to the One deserving it. How Great Is Our God, sing with me how greeeaaatt... To me, it was wonderful, having seen a dream come true today; that TEENz would one day grow big enough to be using the biggest hall in church, and.. just amazed at how God works when i stop to think about it. Joseph Lok-lok shared a short sermon about blessings, or more accurately in chinese - Xing4 Fu2. He even sang Guang Liang's "Tong2 Hua4" at the beginning of the sermon, drawing 'woos' from the congregation, heh - meaning that everyone's looking for Xing Fu in their lives, and God can provide the whole package if you invite him into your life. then, then... 17 (if i remember correctly) ppl received Christ!!!! so elibadi veli hepi then ve xing mo xongs and praise God!! :) take, take, take it all!!!! ...... wo, oh, ooh!!! finish liao then still shout ENCORE, so we sing again "open up the gates"... so that later we can go out of sanctuary, hah. *cold* At 6pm, basketball court - TEENz WMM gathering! play-play, tok-tok, and yum-yum~!!!! ah mr. joseph lead fun-fun ice-breaker, play until tired, aha, but nice. then Boon Fei talk-talk and encourage us, then we eat... eat what ar, nothing much la, just fresh out-of-the-oven pizzas lor, so tasty and nice with the cheese and pepperoni melting in your mouth when u bite it... and a tinge of roasted mushrooms and tomato paste blending together, creating fireworks behind you while you close your eyes and chew reaaaal slowly.. cos you just tasted a piece of heaven. :P okkk.. Boon Fei shared about the progress of the TEENz Album, or some called it the live recording, inviting everybody in TEENz wmm to be a part of it and commit to think of ways so that everybody can be involved in this project. so... what a day it has been. :) i am anxiously, excitingly waiting for photos of the concert to be published, either here, or link it from the TEENz main website. we are living at a time where prayers are becoming fulfilled fast, and more & more exciting things in TEENz are happening. So let's remember to PRAY, and come for TEENz's pre-service prayer meeting at 2pm to pray together and see revival in ourselves, and one day finally, in our land.. The harvest is here, can you see it, feel it?.. Young people need Jesus.. You can make all the difference in the world.. Remember... PRAY What If His People Prayed by Casting Crowns What if the armies of the Lord Picked up and dusted off their swords Vowed to set the captive free And not let satan have one more What if the Church, for heaven's sake Finally stepped up to the plate Took a stand upon God's promise And stormed hell's rusty gates Chorus I: What if His people prayed And those who bear His name Would humbly seek His face, yeah And turn from their old ways And what would happen if we prayed For those raised up to lead the way Then maybe kids in school could pray And unborn children see light of day What if the life that we pursue Came from a hunger for the truth What if the family turned to Jesus Stopped asking Oprah what to do Chorus II: He said that He would hear His promise has been made He'll answer loud and clear, yeah If only we would pray Bridge: If My people call by My name If they'll humble themselves and pray If My people call by My name If they'll humble themselves and pray.. 7:07 AM 0 comments |
