 hey hey! our TEENz 1st album is featured in a malaysian christian music website wor! =D must see!! click here! (*scroll down slowly n see ya, it's the sixth album from the top) **tired, sleep 1st, write again soon.. (summershanshine n new blogger, write 1st ya, hehe) leave comments ya, of your feelings about this. =) take care, dudes. "hello, my warm pillow n soft blanket!! here i come running into your embrance, bring me to wonderful dreamland!" *muak muak* (dewy-eyes gone crazy in exhaustion). pleaaaaaase write something in "comments" or the chat box at the right column.. and if u think summershanshine did a good job, do encourage her in church. please...  insider information: - we have confirmed song list for second album - date of live recording confirmed - i think musicians confirmed already too will provide more info when the time is right. album arrangers are now busy arranging the song, eg. thinking of new ways to play the song, different intros, chords, building together the best way to present the songs. last TEENz concert prac went well, the team can't wait to go to Holy Light Church on the coming sunday (1 April) 3pm!! summershanshine: muahahahaha.. We're on a christian music web! This means that our CSI album actually is introduced to all Malaysians! Phweet Weet~ I like the part "the title track CSI has good & catchy rock feel". And only I realise that actually we Malaysia do have some christian album. Buatan Malaysia! *Imagine one day, in Stadium Bukit Jalil or some big big field.. A concert flooded by people worshipping God & so many people till you can't see the person at the end of 4 corners. WHOA! =D dewy-eyes: haha. yeah, then worship teams from all over the country will lead worship together.. TEENZ CONCERT COMING SOON!!!!!!! 7 April 2007!  Concert in Holy Light Church too!! 1 April 2007! Anyway, do you realise we've changed the blog song? muahahaha.. This song is an extreamly meaningful song to me. The lyrics encouraged me alot. Knowing that you actually don't walk alone(not liverpool hor), you don't need to have paper bag covers up your face, you don't have to pretend u're alright to the whole world but actually your heart is crying for help, you don't need to cover up your pain one layer by one layer. All because you don't have to hide, knowing that HE KNOWS. Hope this beautiful song encourages you too. The concert team only prac 2 times then go Holy Light liao.. (har?!) and following week TEENz concert. (because of time constraint, sorry sorry) Only singing english songs in holy light church, n not all songs, cos the song list is quite long (2 sessions) but after the 1st prac last sun 6.30-8.30pm, things are running smoothly n we believe that it's gonna be great! =) only "take it all" a bit of problem, cos it's quite a new song (never play before), so next prac will solve it out. oh ohhh, pang pang can't play bass on 1st april at holy light, got NS reunion, how ar... TEENz concert 1st session 1. One way 2 One day 3. King of Majesty 4. wo dui ni de ai yong bu bian 5. chong man wo xin 6. to worship You (new song) 7. How Great is Our God 2nd session 1. Salvation is here 2. Beautiful saviour 3. Mighty to save 4. Reflector 5. Tell the world 6. Take it all Musicians: At Holy Light church... Won't be using the main hall, cos estimated ppl is about 70. So, no yamaha grand piano (don't cry, david). hehe. Karl, bring your Korg Karma, cos there might only be a keyboard there, n we have a pianist also. Vincent, bring all your "babes" ya. victor, bring your 'hotties' too. things to work on: victor, listen to "take it all" n "reflector". karl, loops for "mighty to save". vincent, work on your riffs, all the best in your exams. *drummer vic a bit scared if too little prac will result in a choke during concert, especially TEENz concert, he wishes that the worship team will hav a run-through or worship an hour or two before concert, similar to what we did for the previous concert. 3:18 AM 5 comments

 Story behind the song: To Worship(by Titus) In the bible, David always had God in mind. He would always praise God and have that close relationship with God. That was what I wanted, to always be mindful of God and be full of His praises. As I sat down with my guitar playing 2 chords ~ A2 & D2 , like a stream of water and out of my heart, I sang the entire song from the verse, to the chorus, to the bridge. It was an entire song written in 1 shot and the chords I played just changed accordingly throughout the song. Wow! This song is my heart’s cry to spend time with God and worshipping Him at His feet, everyday and every night.

 Vocal! audition!! results!!! Nervous? Anxious? have this queasy feeling churning your stomach? Here you go.. (not in order)  1. Jasmine 2. Karl 3. Meliza 4. little Hui Min 5. Nicole 6. Abigail 7. Vic Lum yay! *clap clap*.. (*burp) this is the 1st batch of young ppl chosen. Vocal training will start soon (take note). Sorry that we didn't pick more than 7 b'cos we have limited resources in training (only 2 vocal coaches), but there might be a 2nd batch after the 1st, so don't keep your hopes down yet. =) bigger claps for all who went for audition but are not chosen for 1st batch *claps*. As i am writing the results in my little note book on sunday evening, i was thinking of comforting words for those who aren't chosen. . but i found none (sorry). I am no stranger to failures, usual hits and heavy blows, and sometimes I fall badly. But I learned to stand and walk again, holding heavenly dad's big hand, and thank Him for everything, for He loves me and has the best for me, even if i can't see it. So if you are one of those that hang your head in sadness, remember that you are not of lesser importance.. and in everything, give thanks =]  Actually hor.. vocal audition hor... really not easy, cos i don't dare to go for it.... heeAnyway.. Have you heard of this new song - "To Worship" during 10 March's TEENz service Praise n Worship? It is one of the songs that are going to be in the new album. I think it's a simple song but when it was sung in TEENz, it brings forth such anointing n i can feel strongly the presence of God. Want to know the story behind the song? *wink wink* Come visit this blog again, it'll be out soon. =P Meanwhile... Street-E and other events on the next 3 saturdays!! activities!!! Barbeque! Vocalicious 2! The short n sweet second vocal audition that was held in room H5. Judges: BFei, Angela, Terence. (sorry if i forget somebody's name) *summershanshine: it's Georgina.. oh hor.. ;p   1st try-out, cutie Neo Sok Peng!pitching test.... lala..lalala.. sing song, WOAH LA LAAAA!! good!! brave!!! dunno results... NEXt..  Vic Lum. woah, pretty face got voice to match with wor!pitching test, can't follow the pitch is it.. or is it because sing song need to do special facial expression to impress the judges?... actually, i already forgot why he did that face, haha.. *ah, don't beat me! good!! bravo!!! dunno results.. and then nobody liao, so when everybody wanted to "sao dong" n go home, suddenly Joseph Lok walked in and said sheepishly: "err, i don't want to be involved, but can you test my voice?" hmm... "my mom thinks that i have a great voice, so i want to know whether is it true or just her opinion." oh... HAahahAhaHAaHAHAahahaAHAhahaAhaahahaHaa! **dewy-eyes has limited & distorted memory, if misquoted anybody, please notify for rectification.   so little cool ol' Joe served up a hot soup of chicken melody for the weary soul. And oh my, it tastes good!! Boon Fei: "Yooouuuuu...... have nice voice. but you need to learn how to breathe (*joseph doesn't know how to breathe?!) so that you can bring out your voice better." "if you don't mind, you can lie down on the floor now" *i guess humans always sing correctly when they are lying down, but please don't try this when you're singing under the shower head. lalalala....... yay, good, *clap clap*, go home practice yar.. erm.. Joseph, we're leaving, you can get up now... (haha) Notes: Why need pitching test during vocal audition? - to know your vocal range; how high, how low can you sing. - If the album committees are looking for backup singers or choir members, strong & beautiful voices is secondary, more importantly is whether you can sing a certain melody in a song correctly, to support the main vocalist. - If your pitching is slightly off-tune (which many people don't realise), it will be an obvious mistake after the song is recorded n played. So, you must sing accurately, if not a single bad egg will spoil the whole cake. what is pitching test? - pianist play something (a scale), you sing along with it. - still don't understand? go ask the pianists in church. example: (girl: "Oh, handsome mysterious David Goh!! Can i ask you a question? what is a pitching test?) (David: "... dunno")  Oh yeah, during the audition hor, some people hor... look here look there, want to talk to somebody in H5, disturb the audition..   Not really la.. fun people standing outside the audition room, doing funny faces n trying to squeeze into summershanshine's camera screen! =D hello there, come little children, come take photo n be published..hehe.  Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. (1 Tim 4:12) I like to see teenagers stepping out, in fact, I love seeing them stepping out. Whether it is coming bravely for vocal audition, going on stage to talk, lead the cell group, involve in serving, start to study more, begin to do TAWG often, or have a positive change in character n habits.. When older people look down on you and give you this limitation and expected some downfalls - being playful, getting into trouble, or just by doing things that they will snort silently and say: "ahh, young ppl are like that..."  You step out... =)not by becoming the perfect kid in the block, but be the change, be the example to the people around you. In speech, the way you talk when you're angry, happy, bored, sad, agitated. In life, your daily routine, your habits, your relationship with others. In love, to have the right measure of love you give to others n withhold for yourself In faith, to really believe in what you believe in, n share with others. In purity, to think of what is pure n reject impure thoughts n materials. Talk to God a little more today, ask him to be your guide. and he will lead u step by step, day after day, to be more and more like Jesus. You will experience great things, cool things with no side effects when God is not left out in your life. =)  oh yeah..I’m very encouraged by the photos & captions done by summershanshine in the previous post. “Because of you, Lord..” From as far as I can recall from the past, I have been learning how to stand on my own feet. How to crawl, stand, walk & run.. Study & play and graduate with good results, get a good job with high pay, be financially independent, see the world, get some souls saved.. Get married to Mr. Right, have babies, raise wonderful children, make them responsible adults n marry them off, grow old, play with grandchildren, die happy n make everybody cry. If I can achieve all this, I am successful. Am I? Can I? We all live lives with beautiful dreams mapped out or hidden in the deepest corners of our hearts, wishing and trying to make it come true, but things always happen. Visions get blurred, problems get in the way; unexpected misfortunes and imperfection paint a great graffiti over our own hand-drawn, blessed masterpiece. But… Because of you, Lord.. Just because of You… I can live today and smile at tomorrow. And somewhere in my heart, as my understanding of God gets deeper and more personal.. I see God holding my hand, drawing me an unexpected but beautiful masterpiece of life. =)

Oh oh Oh~ Audition!

"Huh? Audition ar.. don't want lar, very paiseh lar. " This was my first reaction when I heard there's an vocal audition & someone asked me to go for a try. After cellgroup & practice, I'm still thinking whether should I go. (Hanar hanar, I actually already prepared what I want to sing, but very shy. SHY! HAHA! ;p). I had my form on hand & staring on the long long queue, still very fickle minded. In the end, I went for the audition! =D Everyone at the corridor was super nervous, so am I! When someone is out from the room, everyone was like "How was it? How was it?". Then, Terence or Georgina will come out asking who's next. Aha! Everyone will be like staring at each other with a silly smile. Still, one by one went in. (: Out of no where, I felt very very hyper & excited when it's my turn. I just keep on smilling, but my mind went everywhere. Facing all the "judges", truly I was so nervous! Round 1 *ding ding* They tested my scales, how high & low I could hit. *LALALALA~* Yar, I know this one because I was in the school choir before (that was very long time ago ;p). At first I couldn't really get it right. :( Thank God, our lovely "judges" were so kind & help to get it right. But i just don't dare to look at them. Haha.. Round 2 *ding ding ding* Finally, the singing part! I sang "I could sing of your love forever". Perhaps I was too nervous, I actually forgot what's the title of the song I'm going to sing. When they asked me what I want to sing, I told them I'm going to sing the "Over the mountains & the seas" song. -.- How was my singing? Don't ask me, ask the "judges". ;p But, definitely it's a great experience. I'm sure those who went for the audition will definitely agree! Whatever the outcome is, let's continue to sing for THE ONE above all. (: p/s: Yay! Tomorrow is the official launch for teenzalbum blog!
